District Still Intends To Educate Public On Forest Health Management

The District of Muskoka has declined to sign a Memorandum of Understanding prepared by the Muskoka Landowners Association. But they will continue to offer public education on Forest management. Scott Young, Chair of the Planning and Economic Committee says they are looking in to a number of publications to offer landowners on tree-cutting, as well supplying a forestry technician once a week to answer any questions. The recommendations will go to council for approval in early October.
