Update : Port Carling Fire Still Under Investigation

Fire officials are still investigating Friday’s fire at the Delta Sherwood Inn but have ruled out foul play. Muskoka Lakes Fire Chief Jim Sawkins says 45 firefighters battled the Friday morning blaze for half an hour in Port Carling. He estimates the damage at $300,000. Sawkins commends the hotel staff for thinking clearly and following their fire safety plan. No injuries are reported.
