The Huntsville Muskoka Otters have a new head coach. After 6 years of leading the team, Tom McCarthy was suddenly let go last Thursday. This morning it was announced that Brian O’Leary has been appointed to the position. O’Leary brings to the bench over 17 years of coaching experience in Canadian junior hockey as both an assistant and head coach. O’Leary is native to Owen Sound and spent the last two years as assistant coach to a team in the East Coast Hockey League. O’Leary also has a solid record with the Owen Sound Attack Team. He helped to guide that team to four consecutive playoff appearances. O’Leary’s contract beings today with the first game this Friday night in Collingwood.
