Muskoka residents can now easily access a list that provides information on how to help the victims of the Empire Hotel Fire. The pressing issue facing the displace tenants is finding long term housing. Deputy Mayor Fran Coleman has released a list of contacts and locations for both victims and interested volunteers. There are 50 apartments in the Empire Hotel with various businesses below. Empire Hotel owner Dave Kaye who also owns the Hideaway Pub says the future of the pub is unknown at this point. Kaye said there was about 4 feet of water in the pub after the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
