Aspen Valley Wildlife Centre Doing Well Despite Bad Press

People from across Parry Sound Muskoka continue to donate funds to the Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary despite allegations of animal abuse and financial issues. The Ministry of Natural resources has completed three inspections since September 11th and found no evidence of the abuse that was reported and donations continue to come in. Aspen Valley Board Chair Julia McLaren says the vast majority of people haven’t been influenced by the bad press. McLaren says the Sanctuary is in great shape with a group of good employees who care about the animals and are maintaing a clean, organized facility. She adds the Sanctuary is looking to expand both the facility and the staff to bring on more specialized employees to care for the animals
